O COME LITTLE CHILDREN
Christoph Von Schmid, Johann A. (Schultz) Schulz ~ Public Domain

O come little children, O come one and all,
To Bethlehem come To the manger so small.
God's Son for a gift Has been sent you this night,
To be your Redeemer Your joy and delight.

O come little children, O come one and all.
O come ye to Bethlehem's Cradle and stall.
And see lying here On this holiest night,
The Heaven sent gift Of God's love and God's might.
O come little children, O come one and all,
O come to the cradle in Bethlehem's stall,
And see what has happened This holiest night,
Come gaze on the gift From the Father of might.

O see, in the manger This strange little bed
The Son, sweet and gentle, Is resting His head
In swaddling clothes Lying so meek and so mild
Yet purer than angels, The heavenly Child.

On hay and on straw In the manger He lies,
Both Mary and Joseph With fond loving eyes
Are gazing upon Him And shepherds draw near,
And jubileant angesl from heaven appear.

We too would be humble And worship the child,
With shepherds and Joseph And Mary so mild.
Let voices ring out For how could we be sad.
Rejoice with the angels For tidings so glad.

O kneel with the shepherds In worshipful prayer,
And join with the dear angels Who also are there;
Sing glory to God in the heavens above,
And praise Him for Jesus, The gift of His love!
