I decided to read all the books written by Agatha Christie. I've got a pretty good start on them. My only problem is I can't remember title names, so I'm going to have to start writing them down. I've also read a Rick Riordan "adult" (meaning main audience is grown up) novel, Big Red Tequila. I think I prefer his Percy Jackson series much more. Although I can see Big Red Tequila being made into a movie or TV series perhaps on HBO.

We decided to re-read Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the next Narnia movie, again because it is a favorite.

And, Mrs. C, the Marple books are great ones!

I've tried holding off til Autumn and since I've had the book since the Spring, I think I've done well. I broke down today and cracked open my copy of Miss Read's "Christmas at Fairacre". I just finished another book her's, a short one called "Tiggy". I love her books and I'm trying to collect more of them.

I've also had a bash at some Elizabeth Gaskell but I can't seem to get into her stuff ie: North and South, Cranford et al. However I did enjoy "Goth Tales"

Just got done reading The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans(I believe thats his name), this was a great book, I was able to read it in one sitting and it is written in a way that you don't want to put the book down.

I'm heading with our school's librarian next week to buy books for the library and will be looking for some new ones there. I'll let you know if I find anything, especially Christmasy.

One of my daughter's teachers suggested the Outlander series to me - they are huge books, I'll be starting on the 4th this coming week (on reserve at the library). They are definitely "grown up" books. A bit of a mix of fantasy (time travel), historical fiction, and a lot of romance. Mind I'm not a huge fan of romance, but these are pretty good.

I've read and own Letters from Father Christmas - I just love Tolkien! It's a great idea too (Santa letters) - too bad my kids are just a little too old for it

I'm still reading the Outlander series - I'm half way done the Fiery Cross.

Oh, I own all of Tolkien's books and this one is my favorite. I also C S Lewis' book for children. And I very much enjoyed Flight of the Reindeer when I read it to my kiddos!
